Introduction

Welcome! to iPursue - a simple mobile application to help manage items and tasks intuitively.

Do you have too many things on your mind - right from scheduled tasks... to running out items... to your wish list? Not to forget the random items that get dropped into your ever busy routine. The list goes on and on. And, you wish you could manage all of these in one place! That's precisely the goal of iPursue - a simple mobile App to manage such items and tasks in a more spontaneous way.

A calendar management tool helps in organizing your schedule. However, quite often a typical routine is a hub of activities that demands tracking of many more items. Here are some examples

  • chores like grocery shopping
  • target recurring items, such as, schedule payment of bills and regular house maintenance jobs
  • ad hoc items like to pick up kids from school today
  • focus on your wish list items, goals and objectives, such as, home improvements

Be it some ad hoc tasks that get dropped into your busy routine or be it things that you would like to aim for, iPursue's intuitive way to organize makes it easy to manage a variety of items. In short, using iPursue we hope that you will be able to manage anything that you would like to pursue.

What is so unique about iPursue?

With iPursue you no longer need to have a cluttered list of items. iPursue offers a unique way of organizing items into the following
  • Items that you are running out of or have less time
  • Random items or tasks dropped into your routine
  • Items or tasks that you have already planned for (with an optional recurring schedule)
  • Items that you want
Each of the above views presents the items intuitively highlighting the important ones. A convenient toolbar makes it easy to act on an item (such as, edit it or mark it completed). iPursue offers useful settings with reasonable defaults. However, we encourage our users to tweak these settings to further personalize the app to your needs.

How does iPursue compare to traditional calendar management tools?

The short answer is it does not really compete with such tools and is complementary to a calendar tool usage. Calendar management tools are great in tracking things like the schedule of your day. However, there are many more things in a routine that may not fit in traditional calendar management tool's capabilities like tracking you need to do groceries today, sign up for a school registration, schedule an appointment, track your wish list, etc. The primary goal of iPursue is being effective in these areas and thus we sincerely believe that it's a good complementary app to a calendar management tool.

Dashboard: Quickly view and access the items that are due today or within a week.
  • An ability to see the number of items and tasks that are due today.
  • An ability to see the number of items and tasks that are due this week.
  • An ability to switch to a specific tab from the Dashboard view.
Running Out Items: Manage the items you are running out of (or have less time). For example, groceries, school homework, etc.
Drop-in Items: Manage the items dropped into your routine. For example, pick up kids from school today.
Scheduled Items: Manage the items that are scheduled and optionally recurring. For example, pay monthly bill.
  • The items can be categorized for organizational purpose. There are several categories available out of the box.
  • You can add your own custom categories, if needed.
  • The items can be assigned a priority.
Wish List Items: Manage the items that you wish. For example, HD TV, shoes, etc.
  • The items can be categorized for organizational purpose. There are several categories available out of the box.
  • You can add your own custom categories, if needed.
Items Archive
  • An ability to view the previously completed or cancelled items.
  • An ability to create a copy of a previously completed or cancelled item.
  • An ability to delete items from the Archive.
An ability to search items.
Track and manage the items via a convenient toolbar. Items can be edited/completed/cancelled.
Note: For recurring scheduled items, completing or canceling the item affects the current occurrence only.
